The JBL Model 4642A is a dual 460 mm (18 inch) subwoofer system designed for low-frequency sound reproduction. It features two 460 mm low-frequency transducers mounted in a direct radiator, bass-reflex enclosure.

This system provides extended response to low audible frequencies and is suitable for augmenting low-frequency content in analog or digital soundtracks in motion picture theaters, as well as for general sound reinforcement applications.
