The AM5212/64 is a 12-inch, 2-way full-range loudspeaker system featuring a JBL Differential Drive® low-frequency driver (model 262H-1) with dual voice coils and dual magnetic gaps, and a high-frequency 38 mm (1.5 inch) exit compression driver (model 2408H-1) with a 38 mm voice coil. The system includes a large-format PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide providing a 60° by 40° coverage pattern.
The waveguide is rotatable, allowing the loudspeaker to be oriented either vertically or horizontally. The design incorporates high-slope passive crossover networks to minimize frequency band overlap. The speaker exhibits controlled off-axis response to improve array configuration performance.
