AW295 is a high-power, lightweight, 2-way full-range loudspeaker system featuring a 12-inch (300 mm) low-frequency driver with a dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap (JBL Differential Drive 2262H), coupled with a high-frequency 38 mm (1.5 inch) exit compression driver with a 75 mm (3 inch) voice coil (2432H). It includes a large format Progressive Transition waveguide that provides 90° horizontal by 50° vertical coverage and is rotatable for use in vertical or horizontal orientation.

The enclosure is constructed from multilayer glass composite and is heavily braced to enhance low-frequency performance. It is equipped with a 400 W 70/100 V transformer. The front protection consists of a 14-gauge stainless steel grille backed with open cell foam and stainless steel mesh for environmental protection. The loudspeaker includes a heavy-duty weather-treated U-type mounting bracket designed for installation on flat surfaces or in 90° corners.
