The AW566 is a high-power, two-way, full-range loudspeaker system featuring a 15-inch (380 mm) low-frequency driver with JBL Differential Drive technology and a 1.5-inch (38 mm) exit, 3-inch (75 mm) voice-coil compression high-frequency driver. It includes a large-format Progressive Transition waveguide providing 60° horizontal by 60° vertical coverage. The enclosure is constructed from multilayer glass composite with internal bracing to enhance low-frequency response. The loudspeaker supports both vertical and horizontal mounting orientations.
The front baffle is made of 14-gauge stainless steel with an open-cell foam and stainless steel mesh backing for environmental protection. The system includes a 400 W 70/100 V transformer and a weather-treated, heavy-duty U-type mounting bracket suited for flat surface or 90° corner installations. The AW566 is designed for all-weather use and is part of JBL’s AE Series loudspeakers.
