The AW566-LS-BK is a high-power, two-way, full-range loudspeaker designed for life safety applications, compliant with EN 54-24 standards. It features a 380 mm (15 in) low-frequency driver with JBL Differential Drive technology, including dual voice coils and dual magnetic gaps (model 2265H), paired with a 38 mm (1.5 in) exit, 75 mm (3 in) voice-coil high-frequency compression driver (model 2432H). The loudspeaker utilizes a large-format Progressive Transition waveguide providing a 60° x 60° coverage pattern.

The enclosure and components are sealed in LS models to ensure durability in all-weather environments. The system is lightweight and supports both vertical and horizontal mounting orientations.
