Intellivox DS280 is a self-powered loudspeaker array designed for active beam shaping. It comprises sixteen custom-designed 4-inch loudspeakers arranged according to a patented algorithm and driven by an eight-channel Class-D amplifier powered by a switched-mode power supply. The system provides a constant sound pressure level up to 35 meters, extendable under less demanding acoustic conditions.

The unit includes multiple surveillance functions compliant with Voice Alarm (life safety) requirements and is controllable via proprietary WinControl software, which manages beam steering parameters, audio processing, presets, and monitoring features. Its compact array length facilitates integration into architecturally sensitive environments. Low-frequency response can be extended using compatible JBL subwoofer systems.
