Intellivox DSX500 is a self-powered column loudspeaker array featuring active beam shaping technology. The unit has an acoustic length exceeding 4 meters and includes 28 custom-designed 4-inch loudspeakers and 8 dome tweeters. The speakers are driven by a 16-channel Class-D amplifier powered by a switched-mode power supply. The dome tweeters enhance horizontal coverage at high frequencies. The speaker array is capable of covering an area up to 70 meters while maintaining an even sound pressure level.

The loudspeaker arrangement follows a patented algorithm to optimize performance, and the system includes surveillance functions for compliance with voice alarm requirements. Control is managed via proprietary WinControl software, allowing adjustments to beam steering, audio processing, and surveillance parameters. The system supports extension of low-frequency response through integration with an external JBL subwoofer system.
