The Intellivox-DSX500 is a self-powered column loudspeaker array with an acoustic length exceeding 4 meters. It contains twenty-eight 4-inch loudspeakers and eight 1-inch dome tweeters, driven by a sixteen-channel Class-D amplifier with a switched-mode power supply. The loudspeakers are configured according to a patented algorithm to provide beam shaping and maintain even sound pressure levels over a coverage area up to 70 meters.

The dome tweeters extend horizontal high-frequency coverage and support both speech and music applications. The system includes surveillance functions compliant with Voice Alarm (life safety) requirements. Control and configuration are managed via proprietary WinControl software, enabling beam steering, audio processing, and monitoring. Low-mid frequency control is enhanced for use in large, reverberant spaces, and the frequency response can be extended with a JBL subwoofer system.
