The SRX928S is a dual 18-inch powered subwoofer designed for integration with SRX900 full-range sound reinforcement systems. It features two JBL 2279-1 18-inch woofers employing Differential Drive technology, which uses dual voice coils and dual gaps to enhance heat dissipation, reduce power compression, and increase dynamic range compared to traditional single-coil designs. The subwoofer includes a built-in digital signal processor (DSP) and amplification, enabling simplified setup and consistent performance across different environments.

The cabinet incorporates a large central low-frequency port that improves airflow and minimizes audible turbulence at high output levels. Control of the system is managed through dedicated software compatible with Windows, macOS, and iPad OS platforms, allowing for precise system configuration and tuning.
