The PreSonus TubePre V2 is a compact, affordable one-channel tube preamp ideal for gigging, offering versatility for guitars, basses, and microphones. It combines a PreSonus XMAX Class A solid-state preamp with a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube for rich, warm tone. The Drive control adds tube distortion, from light warmth to heavy crunch. A dual-servo gain stage boosts signal levels without raising noise, while discrete components and high-voltage operation ensure dynamic range. Features include a high-pass filter, phantom power, polarity reverse, and a backlit VU meter. The unit offers both unbalanced ¼-inch and balanced XLR inputs/outputs, and can be used as a tube preamp or direct box (DI). Its rugged, compact design allows easy portability or rack mounting.
