The Allen & Heath QU-5 is a compact yet powerful 38-input / 24-output digital console mixer operating at 96kHz, designed for live sound, houses of worship, corporate AV, and installed audio environments. Built around Allen & Heath’s renowned 96kHz XCVI processing core, the QU-5 delivers pristine audio performance, low latency, and advanced routing flexibility in a rack-mountable format.

The QU-5 features 17 motorized faders, 16 mic/line combo inputs, and 12 XLR outputs, providing ample I/O for small to mid-sized venues and portable production systems. Its intuitive touchscreen interface and customizable soft keys streamline workflow for engineers transitioning from analog or earlier digital platforms. Integrated processing includes gate, compression, parametric EQ, and effects across channels and buses, making the QU-5 a complete mixing solution without requiring external processing.

Designed for versatility, the QU-5 supports multi-track recording via USB and expansion options for digital stage boxes, enabling scalable systems for touring or permanent installation. Its rack-mountable chassis allows it to function as a compact FOH console, side-stage mixer, or fixed installation control surface.

Qu-5 takes the ever-popular Qu-16 form factor and adds Allen & Heath’s powerful XCVI processing, new FX engines and Everything I/O connectivity. There’s also a larger capacitive touchscreen, channel strip displays, customisable layers and extra SoftKeys.  It combines high performance audio processing and professional features with ease of use and hands-on control.  Workflow and UI have been designed to make operation easy for inexperienced users or volunteers, provide familiarity to those transitioning from analogue mixing and give quick access to more advanced features for the experienced engineer.
