The Allen & Heath QU-5D is a 38-channel digital mixing console with integrated Dante networking, designed for professional live sound, installed AV systems, broadcast environments, and houses of worship. As part of the latest Qu Series generation, the QU-5D delivers advanced processing, flexible routing, and modern workflow improvements while adding built-in Dante connectivity for seamless integration into networked audio infrastructures.

The mixer provides 38 input channels and 24 outputs operating at 96 kHz, with 16 mic/line combo inputs, 12 XLR outputs, and a layout built around 17 motorized faders for intuitive hands-on control. Allen & Heath’s powerful FPGA-based processing engine enables extensive DSP including parametric EQ, dynamics, delay, automatic mic mixing, and flexible bus routing, allowing engineers to configure the console for FOH, monitors, broadcast feeds, or distributed audio systems.

The QU-5D version adds Dante network audio capability, enabling multi-channel audio transmission over standard Ethernet networks. This allows the console to connect directly with Dante-enabled stage boxes, DSP processors, amplifiers, recording systems, and other AV devices, greatly expanding system design possibilities for integrators and live sound engineers.

The mixer also supports multitrack recording and playback, remote control options, and integration with Allen & Heath’s ecosystem of digital stage boxes and I/O expanders, making the QU-5D a flexible centerpiece for both portable and installed audio systems.
