The AtlasIED X-ANS-US is an Ambient Noise Sensor designed for use within the AtlasIED Atmosphere™ digital audio platform. Housed in a sleek white Decora-style wall plate, this sensor continuously monitors environmental sound levels and automatically adjusts system volume to maintain consistent audio clarity and intelligibility in dynamic noise environments. 

The X-ANS-US connects to any Atmosphere AZM audio processor through a standard Cat5e or better cable, transmitting real-time noise level data over a secure digital bus. This ensures automatic, intelligent volume adjustments without the need for manual control. The sensor’s precision circuitry captures a wide frequency spectrum for accurate ambient readings, due to patent-pending data collection technique pairs nicely with our patent-pending automatic ANC by learning from user adjustments at specific noise levels and enables the Atmosphere system to adapt a unique curve for each space. This learning algorithm results in environmental configurations that are worry-free. And for those installations where privacy is of paramount importance, the X-ANS only sends sensor data back, not audio.  

Each Atmosphere accessory is a plug-and-play, intelligent device, specifically designed to be approachable and intuitive. The Atmosphere accessory bus allows for up to 8 devices to be connected to a single accessory port, reliably sending audio and data over 1000ft per port. The AZM can accept up to four X-ANS sensor per zone, the white decors plate minimalistic design blends seamlessly into architectural spaces.

Use Options: Best used for restaurants, retail environments, hotels, airports, educational facilities, and transportation hubs where background or paging system levels need to dynamically adapt to fluctuating noise levels.
